The solar water heaters work on thermosiphon
principle. When heated by solar energy in the
heat collector, water gets hot, inflated, light-weighted
and goes up to the storage tank. Cold water flows
down to the collector instead. Repetition of it
causes natural convection current. Hot water is
made automatically and stored in the tank.. No
other energy is required but solar heat. So
neither electrical parts nor equipment like
circulating pump and back-up heater are needed.
